*I was gifted this cookery course to take part in, but all thoughts and opinions are honest and my own*
One thing that we can be grateful to COVID-19 for is that businesses have had to find new ways to reach their customers and change up how things work.
I love attending cookery courses, but thanks to Corona, they were not possible during lockdown.
I was really exited when I was approached by Larks Live to take part in one of their innovative online cookery courses, all from the comfort of my own home.
Larks.live is an online platform that brings those who want to have fun learning about or creating great food and drink experiences together with passionate experts who want to share their knowledge.
There were lots of different courses on offer, from cocktail making to tapas creating, but the one that caught my eye was Italian Carbonara and Raspberry Semifreddo.
The course was hosted by a familiar face from the sadly recently closed down Exeter Cookery School, Jazzi Curley.
I was sent the list of ingredients to prepare beforehand, so that cooking along was simple and easy.
The course was conducted over Zoom, with myself and 3 other students. It was super easy to follow along, and everyone in the group was friendly and welcoming.
Jazzi guided everyone through step by step, and made it a stress free experience.
I was amazed at how well the carbonara turned out, especially as we didn't use ANY cream!
The Raspberry Semifreddo needed to be set overnight, and was as equally delicious as the carbonara! I really enjoyed being a part of this cookery course, and would definitely take part in another.
I learnt a delicious new carbonara recipe that I will use time and time again and got to chat and cook along with other like-minded foodies.
