They originally opened in Torquay, and have now brought their burgers to Exeter. With delicious locally sourced ingredients and initiative burger flavour combinations, I have heard great things about it.
We heard that they offer breakfasts in their Exeter branch, so we simply had to check it out for ourselves- it's never too early for a burger for breakfast, after all!
There was plenty to choose from on the menu, from full English breakfasts to something a little different.
We started with an iced coffee and a Latte while we perused the menu. The venue itself looks small from the outside, but has a lovely conservatory area upstairs which is a lovely and bright location to sit in. It's cozy, and perfect for the glorious sunshine we were having when we visited.
I went for the M59 SHAKSHUKA - Chorizo & peppers in a smoked paprika tomato sauce, crumbled feta, coriander, poached egg & Emma's bread toasted for dipping.
It was a very generous portion that was packed with flavour. The bread was delicious and perfect to go with it. I definitely want to make something like this at home! I really really enjoyed this, and thought it was nice to have something a little different than a traditional breakfast.
My boyfriend had The hanging COW "burger" - 6oz hamburger patty, Monterrey jack, bacon, black pudding, egg, beans on the side. This really was a real treat for breakfast! You have the traditional breakfast flavours of the bacon, beans and black pudding, paired with a deliciously succulent burger and cheese. A perfect start to the day! Really really enjoyed both meals.
The portions were very generous and enjoyed by both of us. We will definitely be back again soon, and can't wait to give their evening meals a go!
