Mushroom Pâté | Slimming World



This is a Slimming World food optimised and easy syn free mushroom pâté.  I love it as an alternative to butter on my toast, with a lovely runny poached egg on top! You can keep it sealed in the fridge for up to a week.

You will need- 

1 medium onion, finely chopped
Low calorie spray
1 garlic clove, crushed
120g mushrooms, finely chopped
100g Chestnut mushrooms, finely chopped
3 tsp chopped fresh tarragon
113g Quark
salt and freshly ground black pepper


Method-

Fry the onions in low calorie spray until softened. Add the garlic and cook until everything is beginning to brown.

Add the mushrooms and cook for 6-7 minutes, Remove the pan from the heat and leave to cool completely.

Put the Quark, mushroom mixture and seasoning into a blender or food processor with the with the tarragon and blend until smooth.

Line a dish with cling film and pour the mixture in, spread evenly

Chill in the refrigerator to set for a while
