Healthier Kettle chip style crisps

I asked my readers- "What food have you missed the most since starting Slimming World?".  There was an overwhelming response and I am going to try  my best to create as many Slimming World friendly versions of your favourite meals as I can.

Next up I took on the challenge of making crisps.  Crisps really are a guilty pleasure of mine and on the whole I avoid them as much as possible.  These crisps taste just like kettle chips! Potatoes are free on the EE plan and the oil is 6 syns for all of the crisps, which I divided up to at least 4 portions, making them 1.5 syns each potion. These crisps taste like your hand cooked Kettle chips- divine!

Extra Easy Syn Value:- 1.5 per serving

Healthy Extras:-  none

You will need:-

4 medium sized potatoes, pealed
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt & Pepper to taste

Or try sprinkling with smoked paprika!

Method:-

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

The key to this recipe is thinly sliced potato, so I recommend using a slicer or the slicing blade on a blender for best results.   Slice  your potatoes

Place them in boiling water and boil for 5 mins

Drain the potatoes and leave to dry for a few mins.  Add the oil, salt and pepper and then mix together with your hands to get an even coating

Arrange potato slices on prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart. Bake, rotating sheets halfway through, until potatoes are crisp and golden brown, about 20 minutes.

Keep them in an air tight container to keep the freshness
