Read Day 1 of the slow cooker challenge if you don't already know why and what I am doing!
Day 2- Fakeaway Lamb Doner Kebab
This really does taste like a lamb doner from your local takeaway but without the grease and nastiness. It has a better flavour from herbs plus the added bonus of knowing exactly what goes into it. I found this recipe from the files of the Slow Cooked Wonders :) on Facebook and adapted it
You will need:-
Add the Oregano, Italian Season, Salt, Pepper, Cumin, Garlic, Chili and Onion into a bowl.
Add the minced Lamb and mix, fold and pound trying to remove all air bubbles till you have a perfect almost dough like piece of lamb.
Pop in the slow-cookeron high for 3.5 hrs, low for 5-6 hrs. I put mine on a bed of red onions to keep it from the bottom.
Once cooked, remove and cut into thin slices, serve in a pitta bread with salad.
